Weights of Birds

Bars use a logarithmic scale, fixed to the full dataset (species span roughly 2 g to 14.5 kg), so relative size is comparable across every row — even while filtering or grouping.

Each row plots average female and male mass on the same log scale as Weight Ranges; the badge shows the ratio and which sex is larger. Grouped by taxonomic order by default — orders are sorted from the most female-larger to the most male-larger, and species within each order follow the same spectrum.
